[67]  It’s interesting to note that the concept of Time and its Financial Value was celebrated 300 years ago as avidly as it is nowadays.

Various Time-Measuring Devices are known to have been in use since ancient times:

Sun dial, Candle, Water and Sand Clock, but it’s the invention of the balance spring (1657) that made early pocket-watches useful, affordable (for the more affluent) and handy time-keepers.

Gulliver, being a sea-surgeon, needed one, and evidently could have afforded it.

If Time is Money, how many euro/dollars are you old?

What readers say?

Xaviera Hollander

("The Happy Hooker" and dozen more books):

We've been friends  for almost half a century and enjoyed several of each others' theatrical productions, so reading your memoir of Mrs. Gulliver is a wonderful surprise: so witty, subversive, and yet, arousing... it tickled my mind as well as inspired my G-spot. Highly recommended!
