[18]           Despite all the evidence that women are better equipped for life, baby-boys have always been preferred to baby-girls, and still are. It’s a phenomenon that perpetuates itself: ever since ancient times, women, being physically weaker, were oppressed and considered to be men’s property, to be sold by their fathers to other men as soon as they were old enough to produce children. As such, it was the male child who took over his father’s enterprise and the one who carried his father’s name down history lane.

Xaviera Hollander

("The Happy Hooker" and dozen more books):

We've been friends  for almost half a century and enjoyed several of each others' theatrical productions, so reading your memoir of Mrs. Gulliver is a wonderful surprise: so witty, subversive, and yet, arousing... it tickled my mind as well as inspired my G-spot. Highly recommended!
